It was only a couple of years ago back in 2009 things looked grim for the show with local authorities putting unrealistic demands on organisers the show was called off for the first time. Highway 61 found themselves having to rebuild the show and while numbers were down compared to past years were still healthy when the show reopened in 2010, this year word had got out Bankstown is back, a good sign for the boys was the fact all the trade stalls had sold out a month before the show but the best was yet to come, the gates had only opened at 10am and by 12pm the count through the gates up around the 7,000 mark that’s excluding stall holders and staff and was it any wonder is there any better way of spending ones good Friday? The day begins at 10am and finishes at 8pm, punters are given the chance to share in $40,000 in cash and lucky door prises, a 1 in 350 chance to win a Harley Davidson in the $100 per ticket Harley draw and an abundance of entertainment through the day.
